Motivation Book

This is my new motivation book!

A new challenge!

Each day I am going to record all the positives of the day and what I've achieved. A huge part of this is decluttering once again. With a young baby in the house (separate post coming up) and three year old, each room fills up so easily.

I have a charity bag to go out tomorrow so I've kickstarted my decluttering with clothes. I've looked in my wardrobe to pick out the things I just don't wear anymore as a starting point. I am slowly going through the rest, wearing them to see if I still want or need them. I'm being ruthless! My style has changed so much in the past few years so I'd rather have less but actually love it all.

I will also do the same for Daisy's wardrobe as I've just bought her some lovely new clothes.

One thing I want to do this year is make life more simple with less stress. Hopefully having less stuff will help me to tidy and clean the house quicker and have more time for hobbies. Normally I would stash all the items away in the garage until the carboot season starts up again, but not this time...things will be gifted or given to the charity shop. I just need to take action before I change my mind!

Daisy's been at nursery a week and already she's had a cold. Now the baby has it too :(

Not much spare time at the moment but I'll try to do a little each day to keep me motivated.

Is anyone else decluttering??

Handmade is best!

Hi  everyone

Yesterday I had some happy post. Over Christmas I asked my friend's mum to make two crochet blankets for me. One for my friend's baby who's due tomorrow and the other for my gorgeous grandson Henry. Well Henry's arrived here and I love it so much.

I love the little name heart too.

Ready on his pram to collect Daisy from nursery!

They are quite big blankets and I ordered two so I'm impressed with how quickly she made them.

I started to learn how to crochet a year ago but decided to knit instead. It's something I really want to do.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last post. Daisy is loving nursery so much!

Daisy's special day and a photo catch up...

Hi everyone

Today is a really special day for Daisy because she's starting nursery! She's definitely ready and I know she's going to love it.

I decided not to make or talk about my plans for the new year on the 1st January because already this year has been unkind to us. I'm feeling more positive now and last week brought fantastic news to our little family. I'm doing a separate post on that though :)

I have been making general plans of what I want to achieve this year and I will share these in a separate post too.

So here's a little update with a few photos from this year so far...

A lovely beef joint gifted to us :)

That lovely beef on my plate! Hubby cooked a delicious roast that day.

Daisy's memory quilt that I'm slowly making. I'm using her old clothes that couldn't be used again and cutting out hexagons to make patchwork. It's going to be quite big! I love a project that you can dip into when there's a few spare moments.

A baby blanket for Henry that I've nearly finished. I love knitting and need to get back into it!

What I eat most days now!

My low carb diet doesn't allow for rice with my curry, but this was delicious and all homemade.

A Victoria sponge cake for a very special family we travelled to visit last week :)

Easy chocolate krispie cakes

Road trip!!

Veg prepped for roasting

Treat night steak!

Yum!

Snow!!

That's it for today,

Be back soon!

Hi everyone

Just to let you know that we have a couple of things going on at the moment so I just haven't had the time to write. I do have plans for my blog and my lifestyle which I hope to tell you about this week. I also have some news to share with you.

Life is constantly changing for us and we want to save money for the future, so February will see the beginning of my next challenges. I hope you'll join me!

Until then...
